Yogahome is hosted by me, Helena del Pino. This is a place where I extend hospitality to you as you go deeper to explore life’s meaning and purpose, the yoga teachings and how to find peace, health, and healing. My own story is one of homecoming after discovering yoga in the early ‘90s whilst going through some serious health challenges. The experience of peace and stillness opened up my imagination to a new way of being in the world. Gradually I came home to myself, found my purpose and path and then the future began to emerge with a new and more attractive shape.
This is also my hope for you – that you too will be enabled to come home to yourself. With gentleness and simplicity in our approach we can begin to envision and enact new possibilities for your flourishing.
The ancient teachings of yoga invite us to commit to doing what is required so that we might inhabit the twin qualities of stability and ease in our bodies, minds, hearts and lives. So, whether you want to practise physical yoga, meditate, breathe, have a purposeful conversation, study, create or chant there are tools to craft this stability and ease. The secret of positive change is having someone alongside who can show you how to become skilful with the tools.
This ongoing reshaping of life through yoga helps us to cast off whatever is burdening us and blocking our way. It frees us to be who we really are and to offer our unique gifts in service to the world. For me this process has brought unexpected joys and surprises. Coming home to myself has meant that I am now also a poet, an artist and a priest in God’s church.
My collection of poetry Shattered Vanities: Poems of the Pandemic was published in 2021. It was originally conceived as a holding space project and to maintain the original spirit of the project it is only available directly from me. Please email for a copy.
