LANGHANA – the art of a good night’s sleep. A yoga fundraiser.

Fundraising in memory of Barbara Jarrett, our yoga friend who selflessly volunteered for the Samaritans and gave the great gift of listening to strangers in need.

The yoga event will take place on Sunday 27th June from 7.30-9pm.  It is called LANGHANA – the art of a good night’s sleep and will include self massage techniques, yoga postures, breathwork, yoga nidra and exploration of yoga concepts such as nidra, savasana, langhana, tamas, ahimsa, sauca.

Coronavirus is impacting all of our lives and creating a new mental health pandemic. This crisis is the biggest challenge Samaritans has ever faced. Before Coronavirus hit, 20,000 Samaritans volunteers were answering a call for help every six seconds. This could be someone you know, family or friends in urgent need but unable to talk to anyone in the middle of the night. It is more important than ever for Samaritans to be there 24/7, 365 days a year for those who need us.
